“…always
witty, sexy, greatly entertaining…”

The 3 Dolls are Charlotte Mudge, Lissy Elliott and Bronwyn Gell - Adelaide's latest cowgirl cabaret act. Formerly known as The Dolls, this tongue-in-cheek trio have evolved over seven years from Andrews Sisters accapella through to the creation of their unique country style, fashioned on bluegrass, blues and gospel.
With "...intelligently arranged, complex
multi-part harmonies spread out over three amazing voices" (dB Magazine), The 3 Dolls have entertained audiences in cabaret clubs, country pubs and festivals including Tamworth (2003), Barmera (2004, 2005), Port Lincoln (2007), Canberra National Folk Festival (2007) and have collected an ever increasing fan-base during their residency at Adelaide's Wheatsheaf International Hotel (2003-2006).
Charlotte, Bronwyn and Lissy wrote and performed their debut cabaret show The Dolls in Freudian Slips for Adelaide's '06 Fringe Festival, and also in 2006 launched their debut CD If I were a much better wife.
The Dolls in Freudian Slips cabaret show was reinvented to critical aclaim for the 2007 Adelaide Fringe Festival (under the direction of Rachael Kirkham) and is certain to cause a stir when the show commences the Australian festival circuit.

Synopsis
Suppression, projection, rejection and denial are prominent features in satirical cowgirl cabaret, The 3 Dolls in Freudian Slips.
Lissy, Charlotte and Bronwyn harmonise beautifully as the bimbo, brawn and brains behind satirical songs about failed father figures, pashing politics, denial and unrequited love.
In 60's slips and cowboy boots, the reflective trio use dream analysis, therapy with Freud and the latest confessional technology to get to the bottom of their neurosis. Retro-pop interludes thread their blues, gospel and urban country sound together in this brassy Freudian cowgirl cabaret.
Supported by David Rhodes (Guitar), Peter Nixon (Double Bass) and Rob Eyres (Drums) - The 3 Dolls will leave you wishing you were in therapy
